| 2012 IN REVIEW The CSSA National Specialty Show was held in Ancaster Ontario this year. It was a wonderful way to meet up with old friends from across the country and make some new ones. CH Nitelatchs Grandgables Ironman "Charlie" won the Stud Dog class and we where thrilled. Overall our year was fairly quiet....we did manage to obtain a championship on "Marley" Nitelatches I Am Legend. We put 7 points on brother "Patrick" Nitelatches The Mentalist and 2 points on sister "Katie" Nitelatches Duchess of Wight co-owned with Deb & Paul Hodges. Ch Linspans Nitelatches Pokerstar "Daniel" was awarded BEST OF WINNERS for a 5 point major at the Central Ohio Shetland Sheepdog Association Specialty Show. Our thanks to judge James Barrett and handler Cheryl Pike "Daniel's" first litter arrived July 22, 2012 so look for them in the show ring in 2013 The year did end very saddley as I lost my heart dog "Daisy" MBPIG Ch Nitelatches Driving Miss Daisy (dam of 4 champions)..20 July 2002 to 20 December 2012. May 2013 to good to all....see you at the shows !! |

2011 IN REVIEW A very exciting year for us here at Nitelatches. We have 3 more Canadian Champions, 2 of which were bred by us. On February 21, 2011, “Rayna”, co-owned with Sharon Dunbar of Shonba Shelties, completed ner championship under the guidance of Cheryl Pike. Rayna is now Ch Nitelatches Designer Fashion. We have a very exciting breeding planned for 2012. April 3, 2011, Ch Nitelatches Grandgables Ironman aka “Charlie” picked up his first US points, handled by Taylor Stevenson. Charlie also had 2 of his offspring finish their Canadian championship. Ch Linspans Nitelatches Pokerstar “Daniel”, 3 BPIG, 1 Group 3, 1 Group 4. Ch Nitelatches Karate Kid “Jaden”, 1 BPIG, 2 Group 3, 2 Group 4. 2012 promises to be a good year with 3 new hopefuls waiting to make their ring debut. Sired by “Charlie” and out of Bonnyville Nitelatches Timeless. I am now fully licensed for Group 7 and on permit for the top half of Group 3 and am looking forward to my future judging assignments. | 2010 IN REVIEW Although 2010 was relatively quiet for us, we only had 1 litter of puppies, we did have some excitement. We have our second AMERICAN champion "Nitelatches Grandgables Safari" aka Titan finished in 4 shows with 3 majors. We can't thank owners, Maureen Smith, Guy Jeavons and Mark McMillan enough for their dedication to "Titan". Our only Canadian champion this year was Nitelatches Jitterbug. "Quiver" was handled by Taylor Stevenson who put the first 8 points on her. I got to show her and was able to get her last points and a Puppy Group win. Thanks Taylor for a job well done. Most exciting was Taylor winning Zone 7 Junior Finals, which earned her a trip to Junior Nationals held in Calgary Alberta in November. Although Taylor did not earn a placement, she did an absolutely fabulous job and I am so very proud of her. On a personal note, I can now judge all breeds in Group 7 and have some exciting assignments to look forward to in 2011. Thank you to all the exhibitors who showed their dogs to me in 2010.
